FORScan is a scanner special for Ford, Mazda, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles, designed work over FORScan software to make diagnosis and hidden functions programming base on OBD2 protocols.

How Special on FORScan Pro?

There are many OBD2 scanners, but does the FORScan somehow differ? Yes, because it is designed especially for Ford, Mazda, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles. On Basis of OBD2 Protocol

If you are not sure that your vehicle OBD2 compliant or not , look under the hood and try to locate a label that explicitly states that the vehicle was designed to comply with OBD2 legislation.

In this case, OBDII is used as a general term and can mean any of the following:

OBD II (California ARB)
EOBD (European OBD)
JOBD (Japanese OBD)

You may also consult your vehicle’s owner’s manual and perhaps contact your local dealer. However, be aware of the fact that many dealers do not know the difference between OBD and OBD2.

If the vehicle is not OBD2 compliant, you cannot use this ELM327 OBD2 scan tool to obtain diagnostic information and activate hidden functions from your vehicle.

Where is the OBD2 Connector?

The OBD2 connector normally located in position “A” and “B”, and for a few part of vehicles will find it in position “C” and “D”

Problem 1: Connection with the vehicle error under Windows 10 system

Solution:
1/>>>Set the FORScan software Compatibility to “Windows 7″.
Right -click the FORScan icon on desktop, Choose ” Properties” , Choose “Compatibility”, Choose ” Windows7 ” , then save.

2/>>>Run FORScan software as Administrator.
Right-click FORScan icon, choose ” Run as Administrator” , connect the cable to car and laptop, put ignition on to test.

Problem 2: The FORScan Pro scan tool can not connect to computer successfully.

Solution:
>>>Check if the USB Driver installed proerply. Right-click “My computer” –> “Device Manager” –> Ports (COM&LPT) shows “CH340T”, if not appearance, please install the USB Driver.

Problem 3: Some of the MS-CAN Modules are not available.

Solution:
>>>In settings set the MS-CAN support to RTS replay mode under ELM327 specific.
